Meet Talia Steele — The Woman Behind Ellia

My passion for diamonds and jewellery began with learning the craft from the inside out.

I studied bench jewellery making and gemology, building a foundation not only in how jewellery is created, but in how gemstones and diamonds are understood, evaluated, and selected. My education includes studies through the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), along with years of hands-on experience working with diamonds.

Throughout my career, I had the privilege of working alongside some of the finest diamond sight holders and manufacturers in the industry, gaining firsthand knowledge of how diamonds are sourced, selected, sorted, and evaluated at a very high level.

I was also fortunate to learn from a highly respected gemologist who became an important mentor to me. His knowledge and guidance helped deepen my understanding of diamonds and strengthened the way I evaluate and select stones today.

Over the years, I personally sorted diamonds by the boxes, examined and graded diamonds, and developed an eye for the subtle differences that can make one diamond stand apart from another.

That experience taught me something very important: a diamond is not simply a number on a certificate. Cut, proportions, colour, clarity, light performance, and the way a diamond actually looks all matter when choosing the right stone.

At Ellia, I bring that knowledge directly to my clients. Whether you are looking for a natural diamond, a lab-grown diamond, an engagement ring, or a special piece of jewellery, my goal is to help you understand exactly what you are buying and why it is right for you.

No pressure. No confusing diamond language. Just honest expertise, careful selection, and a personal experience built on decades of working with diamonds.
